Students are challenged to create grand works of art, conceptual and representational using all media, including found objects and nontraditional materials. Learning to draw, paint, sculpt, and collage, students are encouraged to discover new techniques and media.

RECENT PROJECTS
•Students created an 80 foot mural on the facade of their school, depicting the activities and events that take place during a school year.
•Students created life-size papier-mache sculptures of Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall and Sonia Sotomayor.
•Students created a 6 foot by 9 foot felt (fabric) tapestry, diagraming with images and text, the process of photosynthesis.
•Students created relief sculpture that illustrates the three-branches of government.
